Company Information

Company Commanders: together with the Battalion Commander are considered the most responsible in the battalion. The company commander is responsible for what the company does or does not accomplish. They are responsible for effective use of time within the company in cases when the SAI/AI is not immediately present.

Company Executive Officer: is the second in command in assigned companies. When the company is formed, he will report to any inspecting officer, if it is not practical for the company commander. A major additional duty is to coordinate public information for the company with the S-5.

Company First Sergeants: together with the Company Commander are considered the most responsible in the company. The Company 1SG is responsible for what the company does or does not accomplish. They are responsible for effective use of time within the company in cases when the SAI/AI is not immediately present.

Platoon Leaders: are responsible for all that transpires within their platoon. They will originate/process recommendations for promotions, awards, and demotions within the platoon. They will make frequent inspections of their platoons to determine correctness and conditions of cadet appearance, military bearing, and attitude.

Platoon Sergeants: assist the platoon leaders in the command of their platoons and assume command in their absence. They form the platoon and render the report to the company first sergeant, make recommendations for promotions and awards to the platoon leader. Platoon sergeants are expected t set the example for the platoon and make inspections as necessary.

Squad Leaders: are responsible for all that transpires within their squads. They set the example and maintain a close relationship with squad leaders to assist and advise them on proper wearing of the uniform, chain of command, and other information. Squad leaders play a key role in the passing of information from seniors to subordinates and among peers to make a cohesive organization.
