Hi! I'm Mrs. Owens! My name is Mrs. Tamika Parkinson-Owens and I am looking forward to this semester! I value education and strive to create and implement interesting, engaging and interactive learning experiences for all learners. I have high expectations for all of my students and I believe academic and personal growth are the most important aspects of learning.
My Teaching Experience & Educational Background
I began teaching biology at Miller Grove High School in the Fall of 2014. I earned my undergraduate degree at Kennesaw State University. Currently, I am enrolled at Kennesaw State University as a Graduate Student in the Bagwell College of Education. I believe the purpose of education is to prepare students for their future endeavors, promote creativity, develop critical thinking and problem solving skills and to provide all students with opportunities to develop and nurture their social and emotional skills.
A Little More About Me....
I enjoy spending time with family, cooking, painting, traveling, reading, watching documentaries, hiking, bullet journaling, animals and exercising.
