On the first day of school, what do I do? How do I get my day started? Go to Verge using your student chromebook or electronic device. Check your teacher's messages and follow the directions. Have a great first day!

7:00am – 8:0am
o Make sure you eat a healthy breakfast.
o Dress appropriately. Follow the school’s dress code policy. You may need to participate
by enabling your camera; therefore, do not wear pajamas, headgear (such as hats,
bonnets, scarves, or clothing that is revealing or display inappropriate or obscene pictures
or words.
o Follow all virtual classroom norms/rules set by each teacher. The DCSD’s Code of
Conduct contains the policies and procedures that will guide your conduct/behavior
during Virtual Learning.
Make sure you have a copy of your schedule. You should have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th period
classes. Your schedule is in Infinite Campus. A link is on the school’s website for
Infinite Campus. Instructions and announcements are located there to help you set up an
account or reset your password – if needed. o Contact one of the following individuals
if you continue to have problems accessing your schedule on Infinite Campus.

o Check your technology and gather supplies for class.
o Check Miller Grove High School’s website for announcements. There will be a link that
says “Announcements for Week #1.
Method 1 ( Personal Device):
1. Go to the following URL: students.dekalbschoolsga.org
2. Click on the words Login with Active Directory
3. Username is your DCSD issued student number
4. Password (Grades 6 – 12): Students in grade 6 – 12 must log into a DCSD
student computer to set their password. The default password is dekalb00.
The student will be prompted to change password which will take about 15
minutes to communicate to the appropriate systems.
5. Click Sign IN
6. The LAUNCHPAD portal screen should appear.
7. Locate and Click on the VERGE icon
Method 2 (Personal Device):
1. Go to the dekalbschoolsga.org website
2. Scroll down the home to locate the LAUNCHPAD ICON
3. Click on the icon and you are now logged in to access resources
4. Locate and Click on the VERGE Icon
Method 3 (Chromebook - School Issued Device):
1. Locate LAUNCHPAD Icon on your Desktop
2. Click on the Icon and you are now logged in to access resources
3. Locate and Click on the Verge Icon
8:10 - 9:40 – 1st Period
Make sure you have logged on to Verge - (1st Week then Teams after) to read announcements from your 1st period teacher.

9:40 – 9:45 - Tech Check

1:40 – 3:10 – 4th Period
Make sure you have logged on to VERGE (1st Week then Teams after) to read announcements from your 4th period teacher.
