Parent Information
What is the Parent and Family Engagement Policy? This is a policy that describes how our school will provide opportunities to improve parent and family engagement that will support student learning at school and at home. All students and their families are invited and encouraged to fully participate in the opportunities described in this policy. Our school will provide information and as many opportunities as possible for the participation of all parents and family members.
A School-Family Compact for Achievement is an agreement that parents, students, and teachers develop together. It explains how parents and teachers will work together to make sure all our students reach grade-level standards.
In support of strengthening student academic achievement, DeKalb County School District receives Title I, Part A funds and therefore must jointly develop with, agree on with, and distribute to parents and family members of participating children a written parent and family engagement policy that contains information required by Section 1116(a)(2) of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
